The pencilled notation on the back of the photo reads "Hall of Records?" This is likely the Hall of Records as a free-standing unit prior to its incorporation into the County Courthouse, completeded in 1936. The Hall has a rotunda in the center, with its main entrance on a street running vertically at the right edge; street car tracks are on that street. The rotunda has two wings, parallel to two horizontal streets. For outside decor, the windows have alternating white or gray stone blocks around and above each window. Two dormer windows can be seen on the roof of the wing closest to the camera. Automobiles are parked on the street and in a parking lot behind the Hall. A large truck and trailer is parked at the curb on the nearest street.
