Two men, identified on the back of the photo as Chris Moll [l] and Bill Travis [r], are discussing the landslide on I-80 near Pinole. They are on the northwest edge of the collapsed roadway. The collapsed guard rail sags into the chasm. On the other side of the freeway, in the upper left corner, an earth mover is preparing the hillside for the temporary roadway, yet to be built.
