The notation on the back of the photo reads "Toxic vapor[s] rise above IS 680 near Sunol." The tank truck leaking acid vapors is in virtually the same position on the southbound lanes seen from ground level in 2000.1.1175, except that this is an aerial photo. Another differnece is that the tank truck that has come to the aid of the leaking tanker is not alsongside it, but c. 100 feet to the rear. Traffic on the southbound lane is not backed up as in 2000.1.1176 probably because it has been diverted further down 680. There is no northbound traffic.
