Tribune caption on the back, November 20, 1943, "The students of Hamilton Junior High School proved to the community last night what they already had decided themselves- that they could successfully organize a council and follow through, with an evening dance. As you can see from this picture, they all had a good time." Handwritten, "Youth Council, Oakland, Calif." Photo shows a packed dance floor filled with teenage couples. All of the couples are boy/girl except two girls dancing together in the center of the crowd (never enough boys!) The kids appear to be having a good time.
