First advertisement poster from the Home Promotional Campaign of 1929-1930 for Alameda County. The catch phrase for the poster is "In All Frankness- Are We Civic-Minded?" The ad states that "few communities in the world have been favored with the balanced prosperity which has been enjoyed continuously by Oakland, Berkeley, Alameda and sister cities and town of Alameda County." It goes on to state that employement is good in the area, home and car ownership is high, and the weather is good. All good reasons to relocate a family or business to the area. A drawing of a man standing at a window appears at the top of the poster. The donor's father was the graphic designer for the posters, E. Adams.
