Yellow post-it note stuck on the back of the photo says, "Troops unload baggage from a Railway Express car around 1965. Troops arrived at Oakland by train through 1966." Photo shows soldiers milling around the open door of a Railway Express cargo car. Some of the soldiers are helping unload the car while others are standing around watching. All of the soldiers are carrying weapons and all of the other paraphnelia (packs, canteens, etc) they need. A stack of duffle bags sits on the dock in the center of the men. A building is on the left side with a sign attached near the top of the roof that says "No trucks or passenger carrying vehicles allowed."
