The Tribune photo, dated July 30, 1981, has the following caption on the back: "'Come with me in my flying machine...' Some 14,000 spectators risked stiff necks Sunday to watch daring aviators cavort across the skies to the 14th annual Livermore Air Show sponsored by the city's Chamber of Commerce. A pair [not shown] of modern stunt biplanes thrilled the crowd with a low-level dog fight while a restored World War I era Curtiss Jenny biplane took off for a wing-walking exhibition............................." The "Jenny" shown in this photo is flying at low level altitude, having just taken off from the runway, in front of a crowd of spectators, risking "stiff necks." with the East Bay hills as a backdrop. The Jenny has the number 43 and the words Love Field painted on the fuselage.
