Typed sheet of paper attached to back of image, "GGIE HI 2100, Girl archers of Mills College in Oakland, California are already training for competition in intercollegiate sports which will paly a major part in entertainment programs of the 1939 World's Fair. In the background are four archery butts with figures indicating the year when the 1939 Golden Gate International Exposition will be held." Photo shows eight women standing in a row posing with their bows stretched in their left arms and their rights arms pulling back the string. In the backgroun in front of the school buildings are four targets that spell out "1939." Found in Tribune envelope marked "Fashion, sports costume."
