From caption on back of photograph: "The swans, with their awkward grace, twist their sinewy necks about in search of food. They are the favored of the visitors. Here Tommy Ough Jr., of 4337 Edgewood Avenue, manfully serves a dessert." A little boy holds out some feed for two large white swans. The swans are bending their heads to eat up the offering. Behind the two swans hundreds of ducks float on the surface of Lake Merritt. The Bellevue-Staten building stands in the background.
