Young man at a podium (with the placard, "San Jose State University") addresses a crowd. It is a warm day, brightly lit, with many people both in the crowd and behind the podium in casual and "business casual" attire. The young man, African American, is in a sports jacket and tie. On his jacket lapel is a ribbon (of the style worn to raise awareness of AIDS/HIV). On verso is the handwritten text, "Gioni Palmen (check story for spelling), a Berkeley High student & representative of East Bay Kids for Clinton, addresses the crowd Tuesday befor Clinton's arrival, at San Jose State." Also on verso is the date stamp, "Sep 15, 1992," and the credit stamp, "Tribune Photo By." Handwritten is the photographer's name, "Tory Read."
