Poster has a red background with images in the center of prominent African figures and leaders. On the left is an image of Martin Luther King, Jr. and on the right and Egyptian obelisk. The top edge has "Afrikan Heritage Day" in dark red with two logos on either side of an outline of Africa. The bottom left has a qoute from C.A. Diop: "Today all Blacks can legitimately trace their culture to Ancient Egypt and build a modern culture on that foundation." The spelling "Afrika" was a deliberate effort to reframe the continent name to be anti-colonialist. [LMC]
