electric appliance, Osterizer. Description: a: base of osterizer (contains motor) is slight cone shape (flat at top) with large grooves encircling the base (probably serves has hand grip in addition to being decorative) highly polished "silver" surface with a flip on/off switch on one side and black electric cord; b: vessel, heavy clear glass, textured in bars and marked "Oster", fits on base by means of metal foot, contact made with motor which spins blades in the bottom, top is slightly squared; c: black rubber lid (fits on "b") slightly squared, and marked "Oster". Dimensions: a: 6-3/4" diam at base x 6-3/4", cord is 53"; b: 8-1/2" x 4" x 5"; 4-1/8" x 4-1/8" x 7/8". History: This was a food processor-type machine which came on the market, and was particularly in vogue just after World War II.
