Hospital gown. Description: Small child's hospital gown. Lightweight polyester of tiny white and yellow check with pictures in blues, white, gold and red of athletic equipment and children participating in various forms of exercise. Short raglan sleeves. White seam binding extends from rounded neckline to tie at front, and binding strips tie at waist as well. Open up the front. Printed in black ink across top back is "Children's Hospital Medical Center". Label located inside top of front opening reads in faded red print, "Fashion Seal Uniform", "S" in a circle, "Flame Out III", "Flame Retardant" "100% Trevira Polyester", "Machine Wash", "Flame...meets U.S...." "670", and other indistinct printing. 18-1/2" from back neck to hem; 6-1/2" between each shoulder at neck. References/Remarks: Worn by donor's daughter, Bridget Dwyer, during December 1980 when she visited the Children's Hospital Emergency Room in Oakland for an ear infection.
