The inscription on the back of this photo reads "Old Ct [Court] Hs [House] site] and and unrecognizable last word. That this is a site for a large building is evidenced by the grading taking place on a site at the center of the photo. A grading machine and steam shovel are on the site. In the background, there is a street running horizontally across the photo that is home to the Bay City Iron Works, at an intersection. Just across the intersection on a street running vertically, there is a large unidentified building, possibly another County facility, [yet to be demolished? JM] 8/29/2000]. Automobiles are parked everywhere in the photo. The whole scene is of a civic, commercial or light industrial neighborhood. A Coca Cola sign is painted on the side of a building in the foreground.
