A downtown city street jammed from sidewalk to sidewalk with spectators, celebrating the end of World War I. People are on the rooftops and leaning out windows. The first half dozen floors of City Hall is visible at right. A temporary sign is attached to the side of the building, reading in part, Victory Liberty. Commercial/residential three- and four-storey buildings are on the far side of the street. Flags are everywhere. The H.C. Capwell buidling is midway down the photo at right. Children are on the streets as well as grownups. Evgferyone, adult and child alike, is wearing a hat.
