Scene: A wooden fire house, with a canopy over its front. A hose reel truck with its motive force--a team of two black horses--in front of the house, posed for the picture along with its crew. The truck carries the hose reel, suspended at its center. The penciled notation on the back reads " Hose [Company] No. 2 Junction of Market St. and San Pablo Ave. 1880 Fred A Campbell, Forman [sic] John Voght, Driver, Geo Jamrin, John Watson, Ed Hodgkins, Joe McConnell, Johan Casey, Extra men, Mike Tracey [sp?] policeman.
