A panoramic drawing, bordered by scroll work, of Oakland in 1878 with San Francisco Bay on the horizon. At the bottom, outside the border, there is a label: The "Mirror's Panorama of Oakland". The drawing is made to appear that it is done from a slight elevation. From the bottom to top there are the following: long barns or sheds, out-buildings [out houses?], laundry hanging out to dry on a clothesline, an intersection with horse drawn carriages, one-and two-storey houses, church steeple.
