The Tribune clipping, dated January 17, 1960, on the back of the photo reads ": SLIGHT DELAY--A snow plow fires a steadt stream of white as motoris0ts face slight delay before proceeding on east on U.S. 40 to Squaw Valley. Plows will be plentiful nxt month." [Not stated in the clipping is the Olympic Games, to be played at Squaw Valley, which were one of the motivations for building Interstate 80 to the north of Hiway 40. JM 10/23/2000] In the photo, the snowplow is at work on one side of the roadway, and two pickup trucks and two automobiles on the other side.
