The photograph shows cleared- and partially-cleared land being made ready for the construction of the Grove Shafter freeway, but it is virtually impossible to determine which section of the freeway it is. All that we know is that, acccording to the notation on the back of the photo, it is the Grove Shafter. The section shown is straight, as are the two streets paralleling it, but there are other stretches of the freeway that are also straight. The land is all but cleared of buildings, and there are several indications that work is in progress; e.g. ramps and bridges under construction in the right lower quadrant, concrete piers standing, construction materials on the ground.
