The Tribune photo, dated January 30, 1987, has the following caption on the back: "The plan to restore Oakland's Necklace of Lights around Lake Merritt has received a $41,000 contribution from Sororptimist International of the Americas, the largest to date in a $1.25 million campaign, sponsored by the Lake Merritt Breakfast Club. From left to right are Soroptimist President-elect Patricia Daniels, Art Harper, president of the breakfast club, and Del Nickerson, chairwoman of the Soroptimist Necklace of Lights Campaign." Daniels and Harper are posed in in front of Kaiser Center, with an arm of the Lake between the building and the people. They are also holding a framed picture of of a lamp post, symbolic of the campaign. Del Nickerson is at the right edge of the photo, slightly away from Daniels and Harper.
