A view of the Oakland skyline looking west across an arm of Lake Merritt. In the background, the readily recognizable buildings are the Tribune Tower at left and Kaiser Center at right. According to the notation on the back, this a "view of Festival [at the Lake] shot from 26th floor of the Bellevue building." The festival area covers the lower [c.]60% of the photo. At center there is a pavillion. Sparse crowds are on the roadways and pathways. Booths are erected along the roadway that runs horizontally across the lower portion of the photo.
