The notation on the back of the photo reads "Old Oakland Farmers Market." The location of the market is not stated but it is probably the Old City neighborhood, which can be inferred by the name of the photographer, the date of the photograph, and the restored buildings in the Old City neighborhood shown in 2000.1.1418. Crowds blanket the walkway in front of booths and large umbrellas. A sign identifies one booth: "Miller Farms Cherries." Commercial buildings are on the far side of the booths.
