This is a photographic negative of an Oakland Oaks baseball game in progress. In this shot an Oakland Oak player is sliding into home plate. The catcher is applying the tag on him before he reaches the plate. The umpire is there to the right of the players in order to make the call. However, the runner appears to be safe because the ball is free as it floats in this photo in between the runner and the umpire. The background is left field.
