This is a photographic negative of a catcher making an attempt on a pop up near homeplate. The catcher is looking straight up in the air and has his arms stretched out in front of him. The pitcher is about ten feet from him watching the play. The Oakland Oaks batter is standing by homeplate still holding the bat and not moving. The umpire is just to the batters right. The pitcher and catcher play for the San Francisco Seals. The third base side can bee seen here.
