This is a photographic negative of an Oakland Oak batter just reaching first base. The first baseman is stretching forward an to his right to field the throw ball. The runner's left foot is on the bag but it is unclear from this photo if he was safe or out. The umpire who is to the far right in the photo is there to make the call however. The shot was taken from the first base side.
