This is a photographic negative of a play at the plate during an Oakland Oaks baseball game. The base runner is just about to step on home plate as the catcher pulls his foot off the base. The runner is an Oakland Oak and the cathcer has an "S" on his hat and the number 15 on the back of his jersey. The catcher is also pointing toward first base with his right hand. The umpire meanwhile is watching the plate. The photo was taken from the right side of home plate.
