This is a photographic negative of an Oakland Oaks batter running to first base. The runner is two steps away from the bag. The first baseman is leaning over to make the play by feilding the ball. He has both arms toward the ground and his glove to the dirt. In the background it looks as if the third baseman is the one who just threw the ball. Other players can also be seen on the field. The photo was taken from the first base side toward the infield. The third base stands can be seen here.
