This is a photographic negative of an Oakland Oaks base runner returning to first base. The runner who is most likely the Oaks pitcher since he is wearing a jacket is sliding into first base. The Yankees first baseman is reaching out to catch the ball towards first base. His body is turned toward the camera. The photo was taken from the first base side toward the infield. The left field stands can be seen here.
