Kelly Club

This small doll represents an African American child dressed for a party. Her skin is tan, her hair is short and curly tied in a turban that matches her dress. She wears a short sleeved dress of printed fabric: red, yellow-orange, green and black, with a small metallic gold ribbon sash. On her feet are black plastic "Mary Jane" style shoes. A red plastic package (gift) is attached to her proper right wrist and the hang tag for "Kelly Club" is tied to her proper left wrist. She is still in her original box "Kwanzaa Keeya," "Kelly Club;" box is bright pink with orange color and magenta flowers printed on the sides and the top; the front of the box is clear plastic. There is a "Kelly Club" poster inside the box. The backdrop of the box shows a Kwanzaa table with various important symbols displayed, including fruit in a bowl and candles. The doll's is "Keeya;" she's one of the Li'l Friends of Kelly [who is the] Baby Sister of Barbie. On the back of the box is printed information about The Kelly Club ("www.kellyclub.com") and "Kwanzaa Keeya" "Nickname: Happy, Favorite color: Orange, Favorite animal: Zebra, Secret Talent: Speaking in rhymes, Hobbies: Organizing parties, Best Friend, Jenny -- She's hilariuos!, About me: 'Every year I help put together a fantastic festival for Kwanzaa. It's a way to celebrate being African American. Everyone dances and signs and there's more food than we could ever eat! I feel proud to be a part of the celebration. My firends say they're proud too--of me!'"
