The caption on the back reads: One of the few bright spots-from an Oakland standpoint-in the Coast...curtain raiser was the towering home run blasted over the left feild wall by Dario Loani, Acorn third basemen. Watching the flight of the ball as it left Lodi's bat were Catcher Frank Kerr of the Solons and Umpire Bill Englen. This four-ply drive was one of the two runs the Oaks could make off the deliveries of Manny Salvo, former Oak. In addition to the caption: Lodi, a right handed batter is at the end of his follow through on the swing. He is to the far right of the photo and is looking to the sky where the mighty shot was hit. The catcher is to the far left and behind him is the Umpire. Both are still in there stance as they were when the ball was pitched. The background is the third base side.
