The caption on the back reads: Sun Nov 3 1991, "Since 1975, nearly all the building trades have experienced major membership declines." Then in red someone has hand-written "Labor? Strikes?" The image itself is a group shot showing many workers with their fists in the air. Many look as if they are shouting and yelling and some workers are holding up posters either with slogans of protest or information indicating what type of work they do and the number of their local union. A poster to the left of the photo states "Plumbers & Steamfitters Local 159 Martinez" Behind that one there is a poster that is from the ILWU which states "Organized Labor will Retaliate in 88." Next there are two identical posters which state "We Shall Not Be Moved. ILWU Local 10." Then there is a banner which is representing a union in Oakland (unable to read the whole banner). The last poster that is readable from this shot indicates that there is a union from Pittsburg, California present. There are a few people also holding up American flags.
