Pair of brown leather bowling shoes, lacing down to the toes using seven pairs of eyelets, and with white soles. A: Is the right shoe; B: is the left shoe. Laurie Cooper, mother of the donor, ordered this pair of bowling shoes, perhaps through a bowling alley in Minneapolis, MN, 1941. A group of her friends were learning to bowl and she participated as well. Bowling was a popular sports activity. After World War II Laurie moved to Southern California.
