"Fabrications 2000," Oakland Museum of California, April 8 - June 11, 2000.

This quilt block was entered in the School Quilt Block Competition for students in grades K-12 in Alameda County; the deadline was March 17, 2000. This winning piece was exhibited in "Fabrications 2000" held in the Education Hall Galllery, April 8 - June 11, 2000. This "Sampler" quilt block won the first prize for grade 9-12. It was made by four high school students at Granada High School in Livermore under the supervision of teacher Michelle Webber. The students are: Anna Beck, Maryanne Morris, Ashley Mullikin and Jillian Heaton. Their are four different quilt block patterns including and star and log cabin. This piece is interesting in that the students used some of the P&B fabrics from the Oakland Museum Collection of 1998, as well as the P&B fabrics sent with the entry form and instructions.
