First advertisement poster from the Industrial Promotional Campaign of 1929-1930 for Alameda County. The catch phrase for the poster is "Welding Water to Land and Air...On the Continent's Western Edge." The ad states that Alameda County and especially the Port of Oakland take full advantage of being the main route to the Pacific Rim trade routes. The areas superb transportation system makes it a wonderful location for industry. A drawing of the port of Oakland also appears. The donor's father was the graphic designer for the posters, E. Adams.
