Label attached to the foam core on the back, "'I take it this is not First Class?' Soldiers stake out their territory for the 25 to 30 day trip to Vietnam in 1965." Photo shows the cramped interior of a ships sleeping quarters with bunks lining the walls. Soldiers (U.S. Army) who are hitching a ride to Vietnam, are crammed into the space with their duffle bags and other gear. The two soldiers at the front of the photo are African American. The second soldier on the right side of the photo is giving his opinion on their traveling arrangements by flipping the "bird" subversively by pretending to bite the nail on his middle finger.
