A label attached to the front of the photo says "Sign of the times. Beer used to be available in vending machines, a practice discouraged these days. 1971." Photo shows a young soldier- his name tag says "Jones"- reaching down to take a can of Budweiser out of a vending machine. At the top of the machine is "BEER" and a display of the different types of beer can be seen through the small windows of the machine.
