Tribune caption on the back, February 18, 1949: "Smirking for benefit of the camera are four of the 'pachucos' picked up by police last night during a wholesale arrest of hoodlums. Held for investigation of armed robbery are (left to right) Carlos Garcia, Carlos Calderon, Carlos Zapata, John Salcido." The same information is also handwritten below this caption on the back. Photo shows the four young men leaning back against a wall presumably in a police station. Three of the four have one leg up on benches that are directly in front of the four men. The three on the left side are all laughing while the one on the right has his eyes closed. They are all dressed casually, three is baggy slacks and shirts, one in jeans with the cuff turned up at the bottom.
