Highway 17 [880?] runs across the scene at center, and beyond, there are the Southern Pacific rail yards. Commerical buildings and a scattering of homes are on the far side of the tracks. A typewritten description is on the back; it reads: "The Port of Oakland's Ninth Avenue Terminal is used primarily for receiving the Port's major import commodity--steel products.
