One BART train is leaving and one is departing the BART Concord station in preparation for the opening of the Concord line. A typewritten note is affixed to the back of the photo; it reads " BART trains simulate passenger service for the opening of the Concord Line May 21. The Concord Station, pictured above, is the eastern terminus of the 17 mile Concord line, and is expected to serve approximately 11,000 passengers making 22,000 trips daily when the BART system is fully operational."
