An exaggerated, stylized telephone booth, with phone operated by a crank at the right side and a mounthpiece at center. The roof of the the booth has a pair of large bell ringers. A girl with long blond hair is wearing an Alice in Wonderland outfit. She is standing just inside the doorway, holding a modern telphone receiver/speaker in her left hand, and pretending [?] she is talking to someone on the phone. The booth extends another 3 feet over her head. [The technology of the phone system represented here utilizes a hand crank to generate electricty by a magneto, and the electricity carries voices and rings the bells at the other end of the line. For example, four turns of the crank might ring the bell four times at party A's house, and three cranks might do the same at party C's house. JM 7/24/2000]
