Four children are squeezed into the back of a van, called a "bookmobile." reading, and showing, books for the camera "to see." The bookmobile is part of the Library's outreach program, which brings books to the neighborhoods. There are two staff members in the picture; one is an African American woman standing outside the back of the van, and the other is a Caucasian woman seated inside the van, looking at the book proferred by the African American woman. The names of the staff members are Barbara Winters (at left) and Mary Ann Donovan (seated). The children's names are (from left to right) Steven Lovato, Enrique Martinez, Rene Lovato, and Billy Wydur.
