A view of a 4-1/2 storey commercial building with an ornate facade. It has a metal fire escape, accessed from the top three floors. On the front of the building a vertical sign stretches from 4th to 2nd floor reading "Red Rooster Restaurant Cocktails Dinners," and the cocktail and dinner signs are repeated over the ground floor windows. Painted signs on the side of the building read "El Curtola Fine Foods and Lounge" with an arrow pointing down, and "Lee Typewriter Co. Sales Repairs Rentals," also with an arrow pointing down. [Neither of these signs relate to firms occupying the building] A two and a half storey building, more modern in appearance, is to the right of the building, and it houses on the ground level a women's [wedding?] dress shop, whose window advertises "Charge It No Money Down." There is no indication of what firm occupies the upper floor. Parking meters line the curb. Three automobiles are parked parallel: a 1955 Mercury [?], an imported car of unknown make, and another domestic car of unknown make or year. The City or the photographer's number, R 6891-2, is on the back of the photo.
