Accoording to the information on the back of the photo, the photo is of the Interchange Park, July, 1972. Four freeway connectors are overhead, and the park is below. Part of the area is concrete (a boy is riding a bicycle on it), part is grass (a sprinkler is irrigating it), and part of it is sand (children are playing and swinging on it). In the foreground there are two newly- planted trees, and in the right background there is the lattice-covered seating area shown more fully in 2000.2.52. A rubber stamp on the back reads Office of Parks and Recreation, so the inference is that this agency developed the park.
