Gift of Leta Ramos
2000.61.5

This jacket is part of a three piece suit Leta Ramos designed and made. It was inspired by a piece of vintage lace she found in her mother's things (a collar and jabot which would have been worn with a dress or a coat dress in the 1930s) which she used to make the blouse/halter of the suit (2000.61.4) The jacket is lined with dusty rose colored plain weave cotton. The outside of the jacket is made of machine made pink lace with an insertion of ecru colored applique and embroidery on net (c.1920s). Lozenge shaped amber colored old glass buttons, one at the Eisenhower styled waist band, and one at each sleeve cuff.
