Castro/ProArts

Poster by Rene Castro, printed on gray paper (textured like watercolor paper) printed in red, black, white, blue, turquoise color and shocking pink. Lettering at the top, in red: "The 1st International Day of Nuclear Disarmament, June 20, 1983." Image shows skeletal remains of hand (large one in black, smaller in white) knives, missile, bombs and an airplane. The donor recalled the actions on that day as rites of worship. He also indicated that Pro Arts, which sponsored the poster, had grown out of the CETA Program of the 1970s.
