Bill Blass

This collection of eight garments, worn by Nancy Reagan, when she was First Lady of California and First Lady of the United States, shows the fashionable works of several designers. This black dress was made by Bill Blass. The dress appears to be a seperate top and bottom is all attached. The dress has black satin binding down center front, around the neckline, across the shoulder, down the sleeves, around the cuff, down center back and at the hem. The dress is made of black and is completely lined with black fabric. The center front of the dress has been gathered up into the binding to create a draped look. The dress is fitted. The sleeves open at the wrist with a zipper and the dress opens at center back with a zipper and has a hook and eye closure at the neckline. There is a kick pleat at center back hem.
