This black and white photograph shows those who attended Sunday School at the 1st Methodist Church, which was located at 24th and Broadway in Oakland. The donor is the small child in white at the far proper left of the photograph. Standing on the step behind her and slightly to the side, wearing a black dress with a white collar and a white sailor style hat tipped over her right eye, is the donor's mother. This photograph, taken in April 1940, was taken before those who attended the regular Sunday Church Services had arrived.
