Brown leather helmet used by Jack Irwin when he flew. Probably dates from the 1920s, or the 1930s. Fleece-like material over the ears, accented by circle of stitching over the ears, on the brown leather on the outside. Label at the nape of the neck reads: "Scully Air Mail, Trade Mark, Helmet, medium, U.S. Pat.no. 1705879, Scully Bros. Los Angeles."
