This photo is a duplicate of the photo in 2001.1.105, in which the the Tribune photo, dated Jul 23, 1987, has the following caption on the back: "The skies over Livermore will be filled with World War II warplanes, antique aircraft and sky divers as the 18th Annual Livermore Air Show takes off. And many spectators got a preview yesterday of some of the aerobatics that will be seen, including skydiving by Alan Silver of the California Parachutist Club and Eddie Andreini in his Super Starman [Stearman?] plane, left. Gates to the Livermore Municipal Airport will open at 6 a.m. Saturday and Sunday for spectators who want to view ground displays. The aerial acrobatics will take place between noon and 3 p.m. each day. In addition to precision parachute jumping, the show will inlcude demonstrations of aerobatics, featuring world-class stunt pilots. There will also be an exhibition air race between two World War II fighter planes, a P-51 Mustang and P-40 Warhawk. Tickets are $6 for adults and $2 for children ages 6 through 12. Parking is free. Proceeds benefit charitable organizations in Livermore, Pleasanton, Dublin, and San Ramon. Skydiver's bursh [sic] with death, Page A-13."
