The printing on the paper envelope in which this photo was stored reads "Airport, Alameda, San Francisco Bay Airdrome, but there is not much evidence to support it in the photo, which shows a tractor for a truck trailer in the foreground, a large warehouse that may be a hangar, the Oakland Hills in the backgrond, and shipbuilding [?] cranes alon the Oakland Estuary, which is not visible. Between the truck tractor and the warehouse or hangar, there are piles of equipment and materials, some of which look like railroad ties. While it may be the site of the Alameda airport, it looks more like an industrial scene.
